Guess what, guys? I haven’t gotten another parking ticket for a whopping three weeks! I need to make one of those signs that stores like Costco have up, the ones like “This Department Has Worked ___ Days With No Accidents” except mine would say, “This Student Has Driven ___ Days With No Parking Ticket” and then it would have a little slogan like, “Only YOU Can Prevent Parking Tickets” for some inspiration.
Small victories, people. Small victories.
In other exciting news, Sushi Guy got back to me about my submission for the logo contest! If you might remember from my previous post about designing sushi logos, I entered a contest my campus sushi bar was holding for a new logo design. The bad news is, the owner apparently isn’t happy with any of the logos that people have submitted, and wants more time to get more options. The good news is, the guy reached out to me specifically because I “have the talent of making up really good logos,” so apparently I’m supposed to make a bunch more for a chance at getting a sushi named after me.
Wait, that’s more awesome than the prize money. Hell yeah I want a sushi roll named after me.
With this new motivation in mind, here are some more of my sushi logo designs, because they’re too fun to make even without the chance at winning a contest:
The owner mentioned wanting to see more sun rays, so I’m giving the people what they want. And I tried to keep it simple this time around.
I lied. Complicated is so much more fun.
Yay, options! This is all a hoot to me. I never really thought I’d be asked to make more logos, seeing as I’m not actually an art direction major or even a graphic design major, but maybe there’s something to be said for a visual brain and some good old Youtube tutorials.
Your parking-ticket-free logo designer,
